My Experience

I have been practicing psychotherapy for about 10 years in both Washington and Wisconsin. I am licensed in the state of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor and in Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I’m also a Registered Art Therapist through the American Art Therapy Association. I have experience with treating individuals, groups, and couples, and I work with people from age 14 and up.

While I work with a wide range of issues, helping individuals who are in a transitional period of their life is one of my specialties; particularly with teens and young adults. I also have experience working with individuals who identify with the LGBTQ+ community.

My Approach

My approach is eclectic, holistic, and strength-based. I consider myself to primarily align with the Humanistic theoretical model of therapy, which means I will help you develop a stronger sense of self-acceptance and meaning, in a non-judgemental way. I also use DBT, CBT, and other solution-focused approaches. When appropriate, I may also incorporate art therapy into sessions, as it can assist in finding deeper insight and facilitating meaningful expression.

I have had experience providing psychotherapy within a wide variety of settings including outpatient and inpatient for mental health and substance abuse, within the foster care system, and within residential settings. Throughout my experiences, I have gained expertise in treating depression and anxiety disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, addictions, personality disorders, trauma, identity issues, and anger management, among others.
